Soamé was launched in May 2020 by Rary Soa. The brand was born from the desire to offer raffia bags and accessories that are modern, desirable and timeless. Soamé was also born from the founder's desire to find her roots through the craftsmanship and traditional know-how of her country of origin: Madagascar (country of manufacture).
We work in a social and environmental approach. We want to put people at the heart of our project because we are aware of the current challenges in the fashion sector. Finally, we only work with cooperative workshops or workshops that only recruit men and women from very disadvantaged backgrounds and/or with physical disabilities. Finally our bags are made of natural materials such as raffia, raw cotton, colored cotton. The raffia is grown and processed in Madagascar which allows us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint because our main raw material as well as our workforce is located in the same country.
